Well I mean all the teams at the top of the division are there due to the goals their strikers have scored, not because they purely have a right back scoring 50% of the goals for them.

He takes all our corners and free kicks. So most of these "chances" will have come from those.....and in reality most of them are not even half chances.

Again, like most of these statistics, you need to lookbeyond the headline figure to get a true understanding of what's happening. Which some don't like because it requires an understanding of the game rather than an Excel spreadsheet.

SKY came up with a classic on sunday by the way...the young lad at Southampton was ranked FIRST in assists in that game. An amazing ranking until you clock the score and see there was actually only one goal in the game......

Your have to take the technicalities of a chance up with however created this report and probably Opta. The broader point made by many on this site is that our new forwards are not up to the job and it's not a problem with supply.

irons , but thats not classed as a chance , a chance is when we've taken a shot apparently. So enlighten me when have we had all these chances . What games have you been to that i haven't , I've been to every home game and haven't seen all these chances we've created , so i take it they must all be created away from home.

No one is saying anything about sitters. The new group haven't even been good enough to put themselves into positions to miss sitters. I can think of a good few occasions when Payet and others have got to the byline and looked up to pull the ball back for a tap in only to find that the strikers have all charged towards him and the front post. Another good example is Zaza spurning opportunitues as he desperately seeks to get the ball on his left foot or countless occasions when Payet and Lanzini have slipped balls through the defence only to see the strikers dropping off or running into the wrong channel. They are all chances created and the type of forward we were promised would have notched a fair few times already.

irons, really , well according to the experts on here, its classed as a chance created if someone has s shot or header from the pass, i can honestly say I've missed all the sitters our forwards have missed this season. I'm certainly not defending our strikers as they've been collectively shit but likewise i haven't seen all these chances that have been easier to score than miss thats been created for them.

That type of ball has been put into the box many many times hence Payets stats. Sakho and Antonio have the guile and movement to convert them where our new forwards simply haven't.

irons, he scored the same sort of chance that antonio has been converting hence why he's scored so many headers. id love to know how you think we ve had 46 of this type of chance in the games that payets been playing in because i haven't seen them.

Sakho converted the type of chance (created by Payet) on Sunday that other forwards have not converted countless times this season.
